Kinesio Tape, K-Tape, Elastic Therapy Tape, also called Kinesiology Tape, is a rehabilitative technique used to promote the normal healing process of the body by supplying muscles and joints with protection and stabilization without reducing the range of motion of the body. This procedure is felt to have biochemical effects on many processes of the body. Physiotherapists commonly use tapping to adjust muscle tone, transfer lymphatic vessels, right gesture patterns, and strengthen posture.
The technique includes sticking special tape strips in various directions on one body to help increase stability and protect joints, muscles, and tendons. It recoils slightly as the tape is applied to one's body, raising the skin gently. It is assumed that this serves to establish a microscopic space between the skin and the underlying tissues.
